Moga. A youth was injured in firing in Bagha Purana area of Moga district in Punjab. As soon as the information was received, police officers reached the spot and Kuljeet was admitted to DMC Hospital. Police have registered the case and started searching for the accused.
According to the information, at around 12 o’clock on Tuesday night, Kuljit Singh, resident of Vedant Nagar, near Chungi number 3 of Moga, was returning home with one of his friends. Meanwhile, some unknown youth in a car reached there and suddenly started firing on Kuljeet Singh. During the firing, Kuljeet Singh was shot in the leg, due to which he got seriously injured and fell on the road. After the incident the attackers fled from the spot. The people present nearby immediately picked up the injured youth and took him to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Seeing the serious condition of Kuljeet Singh, the doctors after giving him first aid referred him to DMC Hospital in Ludhiana, where at present his treatment is going on. According to doctors, the condition of the young man is being constantly monitored.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and inspected the area. Police have also started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby so that the attackers can be identified.
In this matter, DSP Gurpreet Singh said that in the preliminary investigation this matter seems to be related to old enmity. Police have found some important clues and the accused have been identified on the basis of CCTV footage.
He said that police teams are continuously conducting raids in search of the accused and they will be arrested soon. At present the entire matter is being thoroughly investigated. Injured Kuljeet Singh will also be interrogated, had he not had any dispute with anyone before this? Along with this, the friends present with him are also being interrogated.
The police officer said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the family members and investigation has been started.
