Chandigarh/Mumbai. Panjab University Girls Squash team performed brilliantly and created a big upset by defeating second seeded Madras University 3-2 and entered the semi-finals of the All India University Squash Championship. This championship is being organized from 9 to 13 March 2026 at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.
The Punjab University team showed tremendous spirit in the quarter final match. The match was very exciting and a tough competition was seen between the two teams. In this match that lasted for five matches, the players of Punjab University registered a decisive victory and won the match 3-2. The Panjab University team caused a major upset in the tournament by defeating the second seeded Madras University and made it to the semi-finals. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the sports department of Panjab University due to this performance of the team.
Now in the semi-finals, the Punjab University team will face other strong teams of the tournament. The players and coaching staff are hopeful that the team can maintain this momentum and make it to the finals as well.
