Nowadays, the homework that children get from school becomes stressful. As soon as evening comes and it is time for homework, tension increases in the house. Parents yell and kids cry because they don’t want to do homework. If you are also struggling with a similar problem, then you are at the right place. Today we are sharing some easy tips to help your children get their homework done easily. Many parents have a habit of scolding or threatening their children because they think that by doing so they will be able to finish their work quickly. But actually, it is not so. Due to this, children start staying away from their studies.

Smart Parenting Tips –

1. Create a routine –

Children do not like discipline, but they easily adapt to it. Therefore, if there is no fixed time for homework, they will always keep procrastinating.

What to do: Don’t make them sit for homework immediately after school. Give them some time to play and freshen up, and ask them to do homework at a fixed time.

2. Place of homework:

Do not let children do homework while lying on the sofa or bed. This causes laziness and reduces concentration.

What to do: Keep a small table and chair in a corner of the house. There should be good lighting on it. To keep them busy, place colorful pens, stickers or beautiful stationery of their choice on their table.

3. Reward Formula:

Adopt a reward formula for whatever task they complete.

How it works: Tell the child, “As soon as you finish this task, we will eat chocolate together or play a game.”

4. Do it every once in a while:

When a child sees a lot of homework at once, he gets nervous and starts crying.

Smart approach: If he has got the work of 3-4 subjects, do not make him do all of them at once. Ask him to do just this one thing first. Then give him a break and ask him to do the same thing again.

5. Sit with him too:

Children often get irritated when they see their dad watching TV or mom using the phone when they should be doing their homework.

What to do: When your child is doing his homework, sit with him. You can do some office work, read a book, or read the newspaper. Teach him to solve questions, don’t tell him the answer directly.
