The District Legal Services Authority established communication between the two parties and resolved the dispute by mutual consent. After this, the insurance company handed over the check of the entire compensation amount to the victim’s family.
Officials say that the main objective of Lok Adalat is to dispose of pending cases quickly by mutual consent and to provide speedy justice to the people. In such cases, through settlement, the aggrieved party gets timely relief and they do not have to make rounds of the court for years.
