The first batch of Iraqi citizens stranded in Egypt has reached Arar Airport in Saudi Arabia. Saudi authorities have given special permission to these passengers for transit. After reaching the airport, all these passengers are being sent to Iraq by road from Arar border via buses. This step has been taken due to the closure of Iraq’s airspace.

Iraq’s Transport Ministry has made it clear that this return journey is not free. Citizens who want to return to their country will have to pay for the ticket. The government has released the complete rules for booking.
To confirm the booking, passengers will have to go to the Iraqi Airways office. A color copy of the passport must be submitted. If the passenger has an old flight ticket, then its information will have to be given. The journey seat will be confirmed only after payment is completed.
