Festival of Art, Culture and Tradition of Rajasthan organized in Bikaner House, the rich cultural heritage of the state will be visible from 15 to 25 March.
The Chief Minister boosted enthusiasm by having an intimate conversation with the craftsmen and Rajivika Didis and also appreciated the products.
Cultural programs and folk dances spread the colors of Rajasthan

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday grandly inaugurated the “Rajasthan Utsav 2026” organized at Bikaner House in New Delhi on the occasion of Rajasthan Day. Held in the national capital from March 15 to March 25, the festival will showcase Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage, folk traditions, handicrafts, folk music, folk dances and traditional cuisine.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the culture, folk traditions and art culture of Rajasthan are the basis of our glorious identity. The state government is continuously making efforts for their conservation and promotion as well as to give them a new identity at the national and international level. He said that this festival is becoming an effective medium to connect the people of India and abroad with the vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
Chief Minister had an intimate conversation with the craftsmen and Rajivika didis.
Bhajanlal Sharma visited various stalls set up by Rajivika and Rural Non-Agricultural Development Agency (RUDA) in the fair and had a cordial conversation with the craftsmen from different districts of the state and the sisters of women self-help groups associated with Rajivika. They gained insight into the experience and working process of handicraft products, traditional textiles and artistic creations while appreciating them.
The Chief Minister encouraged Rajivika Didis by discussing about the activities of self-help groups, sale of products and livelihood opportunities. In this sequence, he said that the state government is continuously working to financially empower the self-help groups and to provide a wider market to the products. Such events become an important medium to give national recognition to SHGs and artisans and increase their income. Also, he said that the traditional crafts and handicrafts of Rajasthan are an important part of our cultural heritage, it is the responsibility of all of us to preserve and encourage them.
Cultural programs organized in Bikaner House
Bhajanlal Sharma also inaugurated the Rajasthani Photography Exhibition in Bikaner House premises, in which the folk life, historical heritage and cultural traditions of Rajasthan have been presented through attractive pictures. In a series of cultural programmes, Guinness World Record holder Praveen Prajapat of Alwar presented the traditional Matka Bhavai dance. At the same time, the colorful presentation of “Braj Ke Rang” presented by artist Vishnu Dutt Sharma along with the charming peacock dance and Holi of flowers mesmerized the visitors.
On this occasion, MPs Madan Rathod, Ghanshyam Tiwari, P.P. Choudhary, Damodar Aggarwal, Smt. Manju Sharma, Chunnilal Garasia, Rajendra Gehlot, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Rajya Sabha General Secretary P.C. Modi, Residential Commissioner Naveen Jain, senior officials of the concerned departments, artists, craftsmen and a large number of common people were present.
