Actor Abhishek Bachchan has won the Best Actor award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for his stellar performance in his film ‘I Want to Talk’. On this occasion, his father and Indian film megastar Amitabh Bachchan expressed his happiness on social media. He said, “I am the luckiest father in the whole world. Abhishek, you are the pride and honor of the family. You are waving the flag established by your grandfather. You never gave up on the circumstances. No matter how much people tried to knock you down, you stood up with hard work every time and rose higher than before. You did not give up and showed the world on your own strength.”
Amitabh further said in the blog that a few years ago, when he had praised Abhishek’s acting in a film, some people started laughing and said that a father is praising his son excessively. He wrote, ‘People made fun of me, but today the same people are clapping. Now time has responded. The world has recognized Abhishek’s hard work and art. People who used to laugh earlier are now respecting him.
Apart from Abhishek Bachchan, Neeraj Ghaywan has been honored with the title of Best Director. Apart from this, Aamir Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat have also received the award.
After winning the award, Abhishek Bachchan said that it was an emotional moment for him as he received the Best Actor award on the same platform where he had come three years ago. He said that receiving the award for this film is most special for him. Apart from this, the actor also thanked the film’s director Shoojit Sircar.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan received the ‘Excellence in Cinema’ award for his outstanding contribution to cinema. Jaideep Ahlawat received the title of Best Actor (Series) for his brilliant role in the web series ‘Paatal Lok Season 2’. Apart from this, actress Aditi Rao Hydari received the ‘Diversity in Cinema’ award.
