New premium variants have been added to Kia Carens Clavis EV and now a new 6-seater option is also available in it.
Kia has made its all-electric MPV Carens Clavis more attractive with an update. The company has added new variants, new seating layout and many feature upgrades to it. The biggest feature of this update is the addition of 6-seater configuration, in which captain seats are provided in the second row.
This new layout is available in multiple variants such as HTX (E), HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+ and X-Line, while the earlier 7-seater option is also continued, giving customers a choice as per their needs. Talking about powertrain, it has two battery options like before.
The 42 kWh battery pack offers a range of 404 km on a single charge, while the larger 51.4 kWh battery pack offers a range of up to 490 km. The electric motors found in it generate power of 99 kW and 126 kW and both have 255 Nm torque. Also, through fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 39 minutes.

The update also adds GT-Line and X-Line trims for the extended range versions. The GT-Line (GTX and GTX+) variants get sporty design elements like new alloy wheels, lime brake callipers and metal pedals, while the X-Line version gets a more rugged look, with dark gun metal color and dark exterior elements.
Talking about the price, the standard range version with 42 kWh battery starts from Rs 17.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.49 lakh. Prices for the extended range variants with 51.4 kWh battery start from Rs 21.99 lakh and go up to Rs 24.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) for the top models GTX+ and X-Line.
Talking about the features, new features like digital key and battery heater have now been provided in the higher variants. Features like 26.62-inch dual panoramic display setup, more than 85 connected features and dual-pane panoramic sunroof are present in the cabin as before. Apart from this, features like access to more than 15,000 charging points, route planning and payment integration are also available through the MyKia app, while DC fast charging facility is being provided at more than 100 dealerships across the country.
