Dewas, March 25 (IANS). Under the Central Government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, thousands of people are getting the benefit of free treatment in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. This scheme was started by Narendra Modi, the aim of which is to provide better health facilities to the people of economically weaker section.
Kantilal, a resident of Kelod village of Dewas district, said that his Ayushman card was made about three years ago and now he is getting continuous benefits from it. He is getting free dialysis in the district hospital from 2022 through Ayushman card. He said that earlier they had to visit private hospitals for treatment but now their entire treatment is being provided free of cost in the district hospital. Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister, he said that this scheme has proved to be very beneficial for him.
Similarly, Sunil Chauhan, resident of Rajaram Nagar also shared his experiences. He told that his Ayushman card was made four years ago. He is suffering from a serious illness, due to which he has to undergo dialysis. From 2022, he is getting free dialysis under the Ayushman scheme, which has provided him financial relief. If there was no Ayushman card, one would have to pay for dialysis every time.
There are many patients in the district who are suffering from serious diseases and whose treatment earlier used to cost lakhs of rupees but now they are getting free treatment through Ayushman Yojana.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Sarojini James said that patients are being treated free of cost under the Ayushman scheme in the district hospital and other affiliated hospitals of the district. Due to Ayushman Card, patients are now getting better health services without any financial burden. Ayushman Yojana is proving to be a big relief for the needy people of the district.
