Bhubaneswar, March 29 (). Odisha government has announced to start a new application process under Subhadra Scheme with the aim of economically empowering the women of the state. Beneficiaries willing to join this scheme for the year 2026-27 will be able to apply from April 1 to April 30, 2026. The government has clarified that only new applications will be accepted during this period.
According to the information, to avail the benefits of this scheme, the age of the female applicant should be between 21 to 60 years by April 1, 2026. Under the scheme, eligible women will be given a total financial assistance of Rs 10,000 every year, which will be sent directly to their bank accounts in two installments. This amount will be applicable from the financial year 2026-27 and will continue for the duration of the scheme.
The government has made extensive arrangements to make the application process simple and accessible. Interested women can apply on Subhadra Portal through Common Service Centers (CSC) or Aam Seva Kendra (ASK). Apart from this, application forms will be made available free of cost in all Anganwadi centers and CDPO offices, so that women from rural and remote areas can also apply easily.
The government has also clarified that the applications of women who have previously applied under this scheme will not be accepted again. Only new beneficiaries will be given a chance this time.
Subhadra Yojana is being considered an important initiative towards women empowerment in the state. The aim of the government is that more and more eligible women should take advantage of this scheme and their financial condition should be strengthened. For this, complete preparations have been made at the administrative level also, so that no eligible woman is deprived of this scheme.
