Thiruvananthapuram, April 7 (IANS). Telangana Chief Minister A. The heated and personal war of words between Revanth Reddy and his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan intensified on Tuesday. The series of allegations and counter-allegations between the two leaders turned into a war of words when Revanth Reddy raised the slogan ‘Po Mone Vijaya’ (Vijayan, go away).

The Telangana Chief Minister on Tuesday described Vijayan’s counterattack as a blessing and insisted that he was not perturbed by it.

He also accused Vijayan of insulting the people of Kerala and declared that his time was over. He finally concluded his speech by saying briefly ‘Bye-bye Pinarayi’.

Reddy claimed that the Kerala Chief Minister has failed to answer key political questions, including allegations of an alliance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

While respecting Vijayan’s age and position, the Telangana Chief Minister took a dig at Prime Minister Modi by calling him his ‘brother’, which was full of political overtones.

The controversy deepened after Vijayan’s ‘Daesh Mone’ reply on Tuesday, which had already sparked debate on the tone of political discussion.

In an attempt to turn the situation in his favour, the Chief Minister of Kerala responded by writing a formal letter addressed to ‘Priya Revanth Reddy’, in which he presented a concise and accurate rebuttal of Kerala’s development achievements.

This development, along with Reddy’s first and last statement, highlights the bitterness in political rhetoric between senior leaders.

Reddy’s arrival in Kerala to campaign for the elections had created quite a stir, especially after his satire went viral. Now that Vijayan has made it clear that the reply will be sent soon, all eyes are on when it will happen, as elections for 140 new MLAs are to be held in the state on Thursday.
