New Delhi, April 20 (IANS). Before the International Yoga Day on June 21, the Ministry of AYUSH is continuously making people aware about good health and balanced life.

Information about the benefits of yoga and how to do it correctly is being given by the Ministry of AYUSH. ‘365 Day Yoga’ hashtag is also being run by the Ministry and yoga workshops will also be organized in different states of the country in the month of May. Now the Ministry has explained the benefits of Ashtanga Namaskarasana, by doing which the body remains balanced.

According to the post issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Ashtanga Namaskarasana teaches balance, strength and dedication and brings closer to inner harmony with every step. It stabilizes the body and also helps in controlling breathing. For this, first lie down on the ground upside down and rest your chin on the ground. Keep the legs straight and slowly lift the hip part upward. Keep in mind that only hands, chin, chest, toes and knees should rest on the ground. The hip part should be raised high.

Hold this pose for some time and take deep breaths. From this position, return straight to Cobra Pose and feel the stretch on the waist. By doing this pose, the muscles from waist to shoulders get relief and stiffness is reduced. If you work sitting in the same position for a long time, it will be beneficial for you.

Ashtanga Namaskarasana is the sixth asana of Surya Namaskar, which is also called ‘eight-limbed asana’. In this, eight parts of the body – both toes, both knees, both palms, chest and chin touch the ground. This yoga is considered a symbol of strength and dedication. By doing Ashtanga Namaskarasana, the muscles of the arms, shoulders and back become strong and flexible and also provides relief from the problem of crackling sound from the bones. Along with this, it also improves blood circulation in the muscles.
