New Delhi, April 24 (IANS). The effect of changing lifestyle and irregular eating habits is now clearly visible on people’s health. Especially the problem of pain and weakness in knees and hip joints is increasing rapidly. In such a situation, an easy practice of yoga like ‘Knee Movement’ or ‘Samasthi’ can prove to be effective in providing relief from these problems.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, knee movement strengthens the knees and hip joints, increases stability of the lower body and provides strength. It is considered the basic posture of yoga. This exercise not only increases physical strength but also improves mental concentration.
According to yoga experts, stand straight for knee movement exercise. Join both the legs. Keep the hands straight on either side of the body. Keep your eyes towards the front and keep the whole body balanced and make a sitting posture in the air. Stand in this posture for a few minutes. The body has to be kept completely alert and stable. This asana can be done easily at home without any equipment.
Knee movement is also called the basic posture in yoga, regular practice of which strengthens the knees and hip joints. The muscles of the lower body become stronger. The weakness in people who work while sitting for a long time is removed. Unnecessary pressure on joints is reduced and better balance is achieved in daily life. Also, this pose increases mental concentration, improves focus and helps reduce stress.
