Earlier, when Sushila Karki was elected Prime Minister of the interim government of Nepal, Modi still congratulated him. On September 13, Modi while addressing a public meeting in Manipur, the capital of Imphal, said that I wish Nepal’s interim PM Sushila Karki ji on behalf of 140 crore Indians. Sushila ji’s arrival as the first female Prime Minister of Nepal is a very good example of women empowerment. I am confident that Sushil Karki ji will pave the way for peace, stability and prosperity in Nepal. Today I will appreciate every person in Nepal who kept the democratic values paramount even in such instability environment.
Modi, while referring to the relations between India and Nepal, also said that Nepal, situated in the lap of the Himalayas, is a friend of India, a close friend. We are associated with shared history, are associated with faith, moving together. Let us tell you that the performance of GEN Z agitators started after the coup started in protest against the social media ban being banned in Nepal. KP Sharma Oli had to resign from the post of Prime Minister, the government fell and Sushila Karki was made the head of the interim government.
