Dubai, 24 September (). The Indian cricket team defeated Bangladesh 41 in their second match of the Asia Cup 2025 Super-4. In the match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India gave a target of 169 runs to win. Bangladesh was reduced to 127 runs in 19.3 overs.

Bangladesh did not have a good start to achieve the target of 169 runs and when the team’s score was 4, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Tanjid Hasan. Pervez Hussain Imon, who came at number three, added 42 runs for the second wicket with opener Saif Hasan. Parvez was dismissed for 21 runs. After this, the wickets fell at regular intervals. Opener Saif Hasan scored 69 runs off 51 balls with 5 sixes and 3 fours amidst continuous falling wickets. His alone struggle was not enough for Bangladesh’s victory. Except Saif and Parvez, no third batsman could reach in two digits. The entire team was reduced to 127 in 19.3 overs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah bowled well and took 2 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav took 3 for 18 runs in 4 overs, Varun Chakraborty took 2 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. Akshar Patel and Tilak Verma got 1-1 wickets.

After losing the toss, the Indian cricket team came out to bat first and scored 168 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. The Indian team was given a strong start by Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma by adding 77 runs for the first wicket in 6.2 overs. Middle order batsmen could not take advantage of this. The fall of the wickets continued to affect the run pace and at least 30 runs.

Abhishek Sharma scored 75 runs off 37 balls. The innings included 5 sixes and 6 fours. Hardik Pandya scored 38 off 29 balls and Gill scored 29 off 19 balls. Shivam Dubey 2, Captain Suryakumar Yadav 5, Tilak Verma scored 5 runs. Akshar Patel remained unbeaten after scoring 10 runs.

For Bangladesh, Tanjim Hasan Saqib, Mustifuzer Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin took 1–1 and Rishad Hussain took 2 wickets.
