Chandigarh. Haryana Governor Prof. Calling upon the educational institutions of the state to adapt their curriculum to the needs of the industry and emerging technologies, Asim Kumar Ghosh said that the aim of education should not be to produce only scholars but to develop innovators and entrepreneurs who will drive the transformation of Haryana. He said that our students should not become job seekers but job providers. The Governor was addressing a high-level program organized by the ‘State Support Mission’ and ‘Golden Jubilee Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management’ in Panchkula today. The objective of the program was to present key strategic initiatives to strengthen industrial innovation in Haryana, preserve the heritage of the state and improve education administration. Haryana’s First Lady Mitra Ghosh was also present on this occasion. In his address, Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh said that Haryana has immense potential to emerge as a leading knowledge and innovation hub, and initiatives like this lay a strong foundation in that direction. He said that “Samarth Haryana” is not just a slogan but a guiding philosophy, which aims to convert aspirations into achievements through innovation, collaboration and knowledge-based governance.
He said that progress is not achieved through isolated efforts, but through collective cooperation. The Governor called for coordinated efforts between policy, technology, education and industry to build a strong “Samarth Haryana”. He congratulated the ‘State Support Mission’ and Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management for conceptualizing and successfully implementing visionary initiatives that are helpful in fostering innovation, strengthening governance and furthering the goal of inclusive and sustainable development.
Live demonstration of ‘National Education Evaluation and Verification’ (NEEV) portal was done during the program. This portal is a comprehensive, data-based platform to monitor the implementation of the ‘National Education Policy’ 2020. It facilitates real-time data compilation, performance standardization and analytics-based decision making in higher education institutions, thereby improving transparency, accountability and administrative efficiency in the education sector.
At the beginning of the program, Dr. Raj Nehru, Director General, Golden Jubilee Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management welcomed the chief guest and highlighted the activities of the institute. He said that this institute is developing a better model for inclusive development by integrating industry, academia, heritage conservation and education administration through technology and collaboration.
On this occasion, Chairman of Haryana State Higher Education Council, Prof. How. Sharma, Director General of Higher Education S. Narayanan, ADC to Governor Dheeraj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Panjab University Prof. Many Vice Chancellors, industry representatives and other dignitaries including Renu Vig were present.
