New Delhi, May 7 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh reacted to the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to West Bengal amid uncertainty over the Chief Minister’s face and increasing attacks on BJP workers.
While talking to IANS, Gaurav Vallabh praised the action of the Indian Army on the first anniversary of ‘Operation Vermillion’ and said that within 88 hours of this operation which started on 7 May 2025, Pakistan came to its knees. He described it as an example of the bravery of the Indian Army and the decisive policy of the Government of India against terrorism.
On the ongoing discussions regarding the face of the Chief Minister in West Bengal and the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Vallabh said that the central leadership will take a decision after talking to all the MLAs.
He alleged that the Left parties and TMC have harmed West Bengal over the decades and now the BJP will do development politics there. He also said that such a government will be formed in the state, which will not oppose the chanting of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Jai Maa Kali’.
In response to a question, BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh said what is Congress doing in Tamil Nadu? What are they commenting? What do they have there? Look at the number of MLAs who have come to Innova. And they are commenting there. What will you say about this? Congress is a single-digit party.
A few days ago, Rahul Gandhi used to tell DMK’s Stalin that he is my elder brother, today he is asking who is yours. What could be a bigger betrayal and deception than this? I want to tell Congress that the majority figure is 118. What is the Governor saying wrong in this? Whoever comes with the majority figures, the Governor will allow him to form the government.
Furthermore, reacting to the statement of AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan, Vallabh said that “Vande Mataram” is associated with the country’s pride and freedom movement and should be respected. It has been present in the hearts of the people of the country since the time of the independence movement. The problem is that Waris Pathan does not want to say Vande Mataram. They have to use some other word. This will not happen.
