Amidst the continuously increasing heat and heatwave across the country, summer holidays have been announced in the schools of Uttar Pradesh also. After Delhi, summer vacation is going to start soon in government and aided schools of UP. According to the decision of the Education Department, lakhs of students of the state will get leave of about 27 days.

This decision has been taken in view of the scorching heat so that children can be protected from extreme temperatures and heat waves. For the last few days, temperatures are continuously being recorded above 40 degrees Celsius in many districts of Uttar Pradesh.

When will the holidays start?

According to the information, summer holidays in government and aided schools of Uttar Pradesh can start from the last week of May and continue till the end of June. During this period, regular classes in schools will remain completely closed.

However, administrative work and important meetings of teachers may continue in many schools. Private schools may issue separate schedules at their level.

Extreme heat became a major reason

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in North India may increase further in the coming days. There is a danger of hot winds and heatwave in the afternoon. In such a situation, keeping in mind the health of small children, it has been decided to close the schools.

Experts say that extreme heat can increase problems like dehydration, fatigue and heat stroke in children. For this reason, decisions are being taken in many states to change school timings and declare holidays early.

Parents got relief

After the announcement of summer holidays, parents and students have heaved a sigh of relief. Due to the continuously increasing heat, children at many places were facing problems in going to school.

Students will now be able to take part in summer camps, online courses and other activities while relaxing during the holidays. Many families are also planning to travel during holidays.

Studies will start again after school opens

After the summer holidays, schools will reopen on the scheduled date and a new academic program will begin. Official information related to holidays is being sent by the Education Department to the concerned districts and school administrations.

In view of the scorching heat, if the temperature increases further in the coming days, then extending the duration of holidays can also be considered.
