The Direct Allotment Scheme-2025 run by RIICO with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurs to set up industrial units in Rajasthan is continuously receiving enthusiastic support from investors. In the tenth phase of the scheme, about 800 applications have been received for 465 industrial plots. The total area of these plots is about 294 acres and the estimated value is about Rs 550 crore.
In this phase, maximum 267 applications have been received for Kankani industrial area of Jodhpur. Apart from this, 48 applications have been received for Ajmer-based IGP Ajaymeru Palda Extension, 43 for Alwar’s IGP Rundh Sokhri, 31 for Borawas Kalawa I industrial area developed near Pachpadra Refinery and 58 applications have been received for Boranada Extension Industrial Area.
RIICO has partially amended the Flexible Land Lease and Rent Policy for allotment of plots in unsaturated industrial areas and has provided that in those industrial areas where more than 25 per cent of the plots have not been allotted even after two attempts, the plots will be allotted at 60 per cent of the prevailing rate or the reserved rate, whichever is higher. In the ninth phase, 25 applications were received for 22 plots made available at 60 percent rate, out of which the maximum applications came for Ajaymeru Palda extension area of Ajmer.
In the tenth phase, 113 applications have been received for such unsaturated industrial areas, more than ever before. A large number of applications in this regard have been received in various industrial areas including Ajaymeru Palda Extension (Ajmer), Sardarshahar Extension (Churu), Kachariya (Kishangarh), Lohawat and Siamali (Mandaur). RIICO is continuously working on investment-friendly policies as per the guidelines of the state government.
The reforms and simplification of policies being done with the aim of benefiting investors will provide new impetus to industrial investment in the state and promote the establishment of new industrial units. Continuous efforts are being made by RIICO towards simplifying the processes and creating a favorable environment for industries.
