New Delhi, May 19 (IANS). As World Yoga Day approaches, the Ministry of AYUSH is continuously making efforts to take yoga to as many people as possible. The Ministry is providing information about various Yogasanas, their benefits and motivating people to adopt Yoga in the right way. In this sequence, the Ministry has posted a video of Indian Olympic boxer Mary Kom on social media.
In an old video posted on the official Instagram of the Ministry of AYUSH, Mary Kom is seen emphasizing the importance of yoga. Along with the video, the ministry wrote in the caption, “Ahead of International Yoga Day, Mary Kom appeals to everyone to adopt yoga for health and well-being.”
In the video, Mary Kom says, “I do yoga every day. Yoga has increased my confidence. You too should adopt yoga, stay healthy, simple and energetic.”
This message of world class boxer Mary Kom is especially inspiring for the youth and common people. He told that yoga helps him maintain balance and discipline even in a busy sports life. Whether in high-impact sports or everyday life, yoga is an invaluable key to long-term health.
At the same time, the Ministry of AYUSH states that yoga not only keeps the body healthy but also balances the mind and soul. This reduces stress, increases concentration and brings positive energy in life. Before Mary Kom, the ministry has shared the views of many celebrities, yoga gurus and health experts including actor Amitabh Bachchan, BJP MP and actress Hema Malini, Anil Kapoor.
World Yoga Day will be celebrated on 21st June. The preparations are at peak. The Ministry of AYUSH believes that Yoga can play an important role in not only individual health but also in making the entire society healthy, positive and energetic.
