New Delhi, May 24 (IANS). Now only a few days are left for World Yoga Day. Meanwhile, under the Healthy India Mission, the Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India is appealing to the people to include yogasanas in their daily routine. In this series, the Ministry is continuously giving information about Pranayam along with Asanas. While giving information about Chakrasana, the Ministry also informed about its benefits.
According to yoga experts, Chakrasana is very useful for those who suffer from pain in the back, neck or legs, stiffness in the spine and shoulders or reduced flexibility in the body. According to the Ministry, in today’s busy and sedentary work life, back pain, neck strain and body stiffness have become common problems. All these symptoms indicate that the body needs adequate movement and stretching. Chakrasana proves to be very effective in dealing with these problems.
The ministry says that Chakrasana not only makes the body strong and flexible but also helps in keeping the mind calm. By doing this asana regularly, posture improves and everyday fatigue also goes away.
Apart from this, the practice of Chakrasana strengthens the back and spine and removes stiffness in the shoulders and neck. Besides, this asana also increases the flexibility of the body. Opens the chest, making breathing easier. Reduces fatigue and stress and strengthens leg muscles. It is even more beneficial for those who feel tired or lethargic throughout the day. This asana increases the circulation of energy in the entire body.
The Ministry of AYUSH has advised that beginners should do this asana only under the supervision of a yoga expert. Especially those who have serious back or neck problems, they should start practicing only after consulting a doctor or yoga trainer.
