New Delhi . The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two more accused in the NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak case. With this the total number of people arrested in this case has increased to 13. According to CBI, Latur resident Dr. Manoj Shirure has been arrested in this case. Investigation has revealed that he had sent three students, including the son of the accused coaching center operator, to the accused P.V. Played an important role in getting the Chemistry question paper from Kulkarni. The second accused arrested in this case has been identified as Tejas Harshadkumar Shah. He is a faculty member of Physics at Dr. Abhang Prabhu Medical Academy, Pune. According to the investigating agency, they had received the leaked Physics question paper of NEET-UG 2026 exam from already arrested accused Manisha Havildar.
CBI said that the investigation is going on continuously to find out the entire chain of conspiracy and the role of other accused in the case. The agency has so far conducted search operations at 49 places across the country. During this period many objectionable documents, laptops and mobile phones have been seized. A detailed investigation of the seized material is being done.
The CBI had registered this case on May 12 on the basis of a written complaint by the Higher Education Department of the Education Ministry. In the complaint, it was said that the question paper of NEET-UG 2026 exam was leaked.
After the case was registered, CBI formed special investigation teams and conducted simultaneous raids in many states of the country. Many suspects were also interrogated during the investigation. So far, 13 accused have been arrested in this case from Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar.
According to CBI, investigation has revealed that question papers of Chemistry, Biology and Physics were circulated before the examination. The agency is now busy finding the real source and entire network of the question paper leak.
CBI has said that it is fully committed to investigate this case in a comprehensive, impartial and professional manner.
