The month of June has started. If you have to do any banking related work this month, then definitely check the list of holidays before going to the bank. According to the RBI holiday calendar, banks will remain closed for several days this month due to festivals, religious festivals and local festivals. Apart from this, banking services will remain closed on every Sunday as well as on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Banks will remain closed in many big cities of the country on the occasion of Muharram on 26th June. Therefore, customers are advised to settle all their important banking matters well in advance.

**15th June (Monday) – YMA Day and Raja Sankranti**
On this day, banks will remain closed in Mizoram capital Aizawl on the occasion of YMA Day. At the same time, banking services will be affected in Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar due to Raja Sankranti. However, please note that this holiday is only for these specific cities/states and not for the entire country.
**25th June (Thursday) – Muharram**
Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Muharram in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This is a local holiday that applies only to this particular area.
**26th June (Friday) – Muharram, Ashura and Yaum-e-Shahadat**
This holiday is considered to be one of the most important holidays of the month of June. On this day, banks will remain closed in many big cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Bhopal, Nagpur, Ranchi, Raipur, Jammu, Srinagar, Kanpur, Belapur, Agartala and Aizawl. As a result, banking operations will remain closed at a large number of bank branches, and customers are advised to settle their essential banking transactions in advance.
**29th June (Monday) – Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti**
Apart from this, banks in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla will remain closed on the occasion of Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti. Please note that this holiday is for Shimla area only. **30th June (Tuesday) – Ramna Ni**
Bank branches in Aizawl will remain closed due to Ramna Ni festival. There will be no banking work in the city on this day. In June 2026, banks in Aizawl will remain closed for a total of 9 days. It includes 6 weekly holidays (Saturday and Sunday) and 3 local holidays, falling on 15, 26 and 30 June.

Although bank branches will remain closed, services like net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM will continue to operate as usual.
