Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation, the Congress on Sunday targeted him and asked if he would talk about the claims of US President Donald Trump’s India-Pakistan ‘ceasefire’ and the concerns of millions of Indian H1B visa holders or will repeat only what is already known at the new GST rates.
Prime Minister Modi will address the nation at 5 pm on Sunday evening, his office told. However, the Prime Minister’s Office did not indicate the subject of his address in the evening.
Their address will be on the eve of Navratri, the day the revised GST rates will be implemented and a large number of products will be reduced.
Congress General Secretary (Communications in -charge) Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X, “When the Prime Minister is preparing to address the nation, his good friend at Washington DC has once again made fun of him and claimed – 42nd time – that he stopped operation vermilion by raising business with America.”
Ramesh said that President Trump made these claims not only in the US but also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Britain.
The Congress leader said, “Will the Prime Minister focus on these claims and will talk about the growing stressful relations between India and America? Will he solve the concerns of millions of Indian H1B visa holders? Will he give some assurance to crores of farmers and workers who are on the verge of losing their livelihood due to their good friend’s tariff? Or they will know that we will know that the new GST is prepared and all that Which will be effective from tomorrow? “
Taking a sudden step, President Trump has ordered the annual H-1B non-immigrant visa fee to US $ 100,000, which will have a great impact on skilled Indian professionals in the US.
