Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal, while talking to the media on Saturday, gave his reaction on many issues related to health, politics and organization. He gave details of the state’s preparations regarding Ebola virus. Also targeted Congress and opposition parties.
Regarding Ebola virus, the Health Minister said that the state government had started necessary preparations at all levels about a month ago. He said that cases of Ebola virus have been reported in African countries and about 250 to 300 positive cases have been registered there.
Three foreign nationals kept in isolation in Durg
Three foreign nationals have been kept in isolation for 21 days in Durg as a precautionary measure. These people came from Congo, Ethiopia, and another African country. In the investigation so far, no symptoms of Ebola have been confirmed in them nor have any suspicious signs been found, but they have been kept under observation for security reasons.
Minister’s counterattack on Bhupesh Baghel’s statement
On the statement of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in which he had said that BJP leaders have their dreams, the Health Minister retorted and said that BJP dreams big. He said that his party dreams of a developed India-2047, making India a world leader and schemes for poor welfare. He sarcastically said that perhaps Bhupesh Baghel dreams during the day, that is why he feels like this.
Minister’s reaction on Karnataka political controversy also
On the question of resignation of ministers regarding departments in Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s cabinet, Jaiswal raised questions on the working style of Congress. He said that the politics of Congress and some other parties is limited only to attaining power. According to him, there is neither any clear principle nor discipline in these parties. This is the reason why incidents of rebellion keep coming to the fore when Chief Minister, ministerial post or ticket is not given.
Statement on BJP organization and new responsibilities
On the possibility of leaders of Chhattisgarh getting bigger responsibilities under the leadership of new BJP national president Nitin Naveen, he said that this is completely a matter of the organization and the decision in this regard is taken by the central leadership. He said that the party leadership is constantly paying attention to Chhattisgarh and appropriate decisions will be taken when the time comes.
Government’s focus on Chief Minister Helpline Scheme
On the plan to release the Chief Minister’s helpline number, the Health Minister said that the aim of the government is to directly listen to the problems of the public and solve them. He said that starting the toll-free helpline will provide relief to the common people and will also increase confidence in the government. Many times there are problems which do not reach the Chief Minister, but through this system they will be able to reach the government directly.
Congress training camp and political jibes
Responding to Congress’s proposed training camp, Jaiswal said that it is an internal matter of Congress. He said that Congress keeps organizing padyatras and training programs from time to time. However, he sarcastically said that in the states where Congress conducted padyatras, political losses were also seen later.
On the question asked about the demonstration of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ in National Delhi, the Minister said that from time to time many such political experiments have been taking place in the country which can create confusion for some time, but they have no permanent basis. He said that the public is fully aware and understands such organizations and their objectives well.
