According to the RBI calendar, banks will remain closed for three days in different parts of the country this week – especially between June 22 and June 28. Rath Yatra and Muharram are falling this week, due to which there will be bank holidays in many states. Additionally, this week is also the fourth Saturday of the month. **Complete schedule of bank holidays**
**22nd June (Monday):** Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is starting. On this day, grand processions are taken out in states like Odisha, Gujarat and West Bengal; As a result, banking operations will remain closed. **26th June (Friday):** Muharram. On this occasion, banks will remain closed in many states across the country. Bank branches will remain closed in major states including Delhi, UP, Maharashtra, Bihar, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. **27th June (4th Saturday):** As per RBI rules, all banks across the country, whether private or government, remain closed on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. Therefore, banks will remain closed across the country on June 27. **June 28 (Sunday):** As usual, all banks across the country will remain closed on Sunday.
**Will banks remain closed for three consecutive days?**
There are bank holidays in many big states on the occasion of Muharram. After this there is fourth Saturday and then Sunday. As a result, banks will not open for three consecutive days. Therefore, it would be wise to get things like check clearance done well in advance.
**Digital banking will continue to work as usual**
The closure of bank branches does not mean that your banking services will stop completely. Even if you are not able to visit a bank to deposit or withdraw cash, you will still be able to use digital banking services. This means that you can use net banking and mobile banking apps sitting at home through your mobile phone or laptop. Through this you can transfer money to anyone. Additionally, ATMs across the country will remain open as usual 24/7 to meet cash needs. You will also be able to do digital transactions using Google Pay, Paytm and other UPI platforms without any interruption.
