Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial and administrative sanctions worth Rs 10.08 crore to speed up development works in various districts of the state and for effective implementation of important announcements related to public interest.

Strengthening the development of religious places

The Chief Minister allocated ₹ 1.42 crore for the development of Shri Harichand Devta Temple under the master plan under Didihat in the assembly constituency of Pithoragarh district, ₹ 70.87 lakh for the construction of internal link road in Lohargaon, ₹ 63.39 lakh for the beautification and construction work of Batkeshwar temple and pilgrimage site located in Kharkadesh Patti, as well as ₹ 63.39 lakh for the construction of a walking path from village Uchchaidi, Nanda Temple to Kholi Ban under the assembly constituency Dharchula. Approval has been given for acceptance of funds amounting to Rs 81.43 lakh.

The CM has approved ₹ 53.51 lakh for the construction and beautification work of Shiva temple located at Bhikiyasain under Salt assembly constituency of Almora district, ₹ 98.25 lakh for the beautification of the ancient Gopeshwar Mahadev temple under Someshwar assembly constituency, ghat construction and safety check dam construction, and financial and administrative approval of ₹ 42.98 lakh for the installation of 50 hand pumps in various areas under Someshwar assembly constituency.

Emphasis on strengthening connectivity routes

Along with ₹ 85.74 lakh for developing the link road from Janaki bridge to Chaurasi Kutiya as Beatles Street under Yamkeshwar assembly constituency of Pauri district by Dhami, along with ₹ 95.66 lakh for asphalting and improvement of Sankarsain-Barsila-Bagad motor road under development block Pabau in Srinagar assembly constituency under the state plan and ₹ 46.19 lakh for construction of motor road till BRC Kotli village, total. Financial approval for the scheme worth ₹1.42 crore has been granted. The Chief Minister has approved financial sanction of ₹ 75.00 lakh for the beautification work of Shiv Temple in Gram Panchayat Dungrifartyal under Lohaghat assembly constituency of Champawat district and ₹ 25.00 lakh for the beautification work of Maa Kardai Temple in Gram Panchayat Moturaj.

Development of basic ghost structures

The CM has approved ₹ 87.95 lakh for the construction of one Dharamshala each at Gram Sabha Kaidagaon Bug site of Okhalkanda block and Mounibaba Ashram of Dhari under Bhimtal assembly constituency of Nainital district. The Chief Minister has given approval to sanction the remaining amount of ₹ 39.996 lakh for painting, painting and repair works of Shri Guru Nanak Public Women’s Inter College, Khurbuda, located in Dehradun district.

Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is continuously working for the conservation, promotion and development of religious places, infrastructure, strengthening of connectivity routes and expansion of public facilities. The implementation of these schemes will not only promote tourism at the local level but will also provide better facilities to the common people and regional development will gain new momentum.
