Uttarakhand Latest News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while participating in the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya and the huge Saint Conference organized at Hari Seva Ashram on Monday, greeted the revered saints and mahatmas and appreciated the work of service, rituals and social awareness being done by the Ashram. The Chief Minister said that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is not just a religious event, but a medium to connect humanity with spiritual consciousness, moral values and the real purpose of life. Describing the Sant Samaj as the carrier of Indian culture and national consciousness, the Chief Minister said that in history, saints and sages have played an important role in providing guidance to the society and also in nation building. He said that the contribution of Sant Samaj in the preservation and promotion of Sanatan culture is incomparable.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is witnessing a new era of cultural renaissance. Works like redevelopment of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Mahakal Lok and Kedarnath Dham are providing new energy to the spiritual heritage of India. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is continuously working to establish Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of the world.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is determined to protect the cultural identity, spiritual identity and eternal values of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. For this purpose, important decisions like strict anti-conversion law, Uniform Civil Code and Land Act have been implemented in the state. He said that effective action is also being taken towards freeing government land from encroachment and strengthening law and order.
The Chief Minister said that in order to connect the young generation with Indian culture and Sanatan traditions, Center for Hindu Studies has been established in Doon University, where high level studies and research work will be done on Indian philosophy, culture and civilization. Oriental Research Institute is being established in Haridwar.
Expressing his gratitude to Swami Harichetanand Ji Maharaj, the Chief Minister urged the Sant Samaj to provide continuous guidance and blessings for the bright future of the state and the nation. He expressed confidence that with the blessings of saints and public cooperation, the resolution of making Uttarakhand the best state of the country will definitely be fulfilled.
