Kangra, June 27 (IANS). Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will visit Bada Bhangal area on Saturday. For the first time in 14 years, a Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh will visit this region. Bada Bhangal is one of the remote and inaccessible areas of Himachal Pradesh, which still lacks facilities.
According to the information, CM Sukhu will reach Bada Bhangal Helipad on Saturday morning. From here he will visit the villages of Bada Bhangal area on foot and take stock of the situation there. In the afternoon the Chief Minister will also visit Upper Bada Bhangal village.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu reached Kangra Airport yesterday, from where he left for Circuit House Dharamshala amid tight security arrangements. Talking to journalists at the airport, the Chief Minister termed his proposed Bada Bhangal visit as important and said that this program was proposed for a long time and now it has been finalized.
Chief Minister Sukhu said that under the ‘Government Village Door’ program, he will stay for one night in Bada Bhangal village. During this, he will communicate directly with the local people and know their problems and needs. He said that the aim of the government is to provide the benefits of development and government schemes to the people living at the extreme ends of the state.
Sukhu said that new plans will also be considered to connect Bada Bhangal with the country and the world by road and for the overall development of the area. He said that the damage caused by the recent natural disaster will also be assessed on the spot, because it is the responsibility of both the government and the public representatives to help the affected people.
Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that it is the priority of the state government to provide development to the remote and inaccessible areas of the state. This visit to Bada Bhangal will prove to be an important step in that direction.
