Often people are confused about whether banks are open on Saturday or not. If you are planning to go to the bank today, i.e. Saturday, June 27, then first check the holiday calendar of RBI; Banks remain closed on two Saturdays every month.

Are banks open today?

Today, June 27, is the fourth and last Saturday of the month. Therefore, all private and government banks across the country will remain closed today. If you are planning to go to the bank, it would be better to postpone it till Monday. Today banks are closed because it is the fourth Saturday of the month, and tomorrow – Sunday – banks will remain closed because of the weekly holiday. It is worth noting that according to the holiday calendar of RBI, banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, while business operates normally on the first and third Saturdays.

How many days will banks remain closed next week?

Now only three days are left in June. Banks will remain closed on Sunday, June 28, while in Shimla banks will remain closed on June 29 due to Guru Kabir Jayanti. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in Aizawl on June 30 due to Ram Nath. Apart from these specific places, banks will remain open in the rest of the country on June 29 and 30. Looking ahead, banks will remain closed in Mizoram on July 6 due to MHIP Day.

Bank holidays in July 2026

Although banks are closed today, most of your banking work can be done without going to the branch. If you need to send money to someone, you can transfer money in a few seconds using UPI. Also, if you need to withdraw cash, you can withdraw money from ATM at any time. At the same time, if you want to deposit money today, you can use the cash deposit machine.
