The smile remains incomplete without teeth and the right teeth makes the face look attractive and beautiful. In addition, the health of the teeth is also associated with the overall health of the body, as gums and teeth diseases can be associated with blood flow and heart diseases.
The formation of teeth begins from the early stages of pregnancy, and their development lasts throughout life. In the process of manufacturing teeth, the first tooth foundation is laid in the fetus, and the first milk tooth comes to the baby’s mouth in about 6-8 months after birth. The outer layer in the structure of the tooth is enamel, which is considered the strongest material of the body, it has a dentin and the most inner part pulp, in which blood vessels and veins are present.
Not taking care of teeth can cause many problems, such as cavity, gum swelling, pyorrhea and yellowing of teeth. The main cause of these diseases is not to clean teeth correctly. Also, intake of extremely sweet and oily foods like unhealthy diet can also spoil teeth.
In Ayurveda, the teeth are considered part of the bone metal and its health is connected to the balance of vata, bile and phlegm. Since ancient times, Neem’s Datun and Arjun’s bark are considered useful for strengthening teeth. In Ayurveda, Gandush and Kaval (pull) are also considered beneficial for teeth, which helps to keep the gums healthy.
Some simple home remedies can also be effective for teeth care, such as brushing twice a day, massaging gums with rock salt and mustard oil, using neem datun and rinse by adding salt to warm water. Consumption of calcium and vitamin D is also necessary for the strengthening of teeth and bones, and milk, curd, cheese and incense can be consumed for this.
In addition, it is advisable to avoid tobacco and more sweet foods, as they can damage teeth.
The color of teeth and their condition can tell a lot about our health. For example, yellow teeth can be a sign of weak enamel, while tooth pain may also be felt in the head or ear, as the teeth are directly attached to the veins. Life throughout the lifetime remains the same size, but gums and bones can shrink with aging, which can make the teeth look large. This is a common process, which is accompanied by body development and age.
