New Delhi, July 3 (IANS). Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Alok Kumar has reacted to the case of embezzlement in the offerings of Ram temple in Ayodhya. He said that the allegations should be investigated in a fair and transparent manner. Along with this, Alok Kumar has also responded to the allegations of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Speaking to news agency IANS, VHP President Alok Kumar said on the allegations against Champat Rai, “Allegations have been made. Some people have also made allegations against him. The allegations are being investigated. People ask me whether the allegations against him will also be investigated. My understanding is that the Trust itself has said that there should be a thorough investigation. So, whatever allegations are made, there will be an investigation and we will wait for the result of the investigation. This is my answer that whatever allegations are made against him, “Feel like he should be investigated.”
On a complaint by lawyers in Ayodhya for filing an FIR against senior officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, he said, “I do not have any information about that complaint. Perhaps its content has not come in the media either. Therefore, I cannot comment on it right now.”
Will appointments in Ram Mandir be from within the Sangh Parivar or from outside? To this Alok Kumar said, “I don’t know why you are asking me this. We have no role in this. The trustees have to decide who to appoint and how to do it.”
Alok Kumar said on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, “Every person has the right to see his dreams, he too has. But if he thinks that people will vote for Akhilesh Yadav in the name of Ram Mandir, then people will ask whether bullets were fired or not? Karsevaks were killed or not? Many years later, when their spokesperson was asked whether he apologizes for that, he said that he does not. He has done what was necessary.”
He further said, “Akhilesh Yadav never went to Ayodhya when he was the Chief Minister. He did not even run any scheme for Ayodhya during his tenure. In the previous government, Ayodhya was a sad city with no development. That’s why people remember the tenure of the Samajwadi Party.”
Alok Kumar also responded to AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s statement in which Prime Minister Modi was targeted. Alok Kumar said, “He (Kejriwal) brags and talks exaggeratedly. He has not taken the name of the Prime Minister, he has said it in gestures. If he takes the name once, then I think the police should call him and inquire about his allegations, what is the basis of it? What is the proof of it? If those allegations are just air, then action should be taken against Kejriwal.”
