Jaipur. Once again a major reshuffle has been seen at the administrative level in Rajasthan. The Home (Group-1) Department of the State Government has issued an order late night, transferring and posting new posts of 49 Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) level officers of Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) with immediate effect. In this list, signed by Joint Secretary (Police) Manish Goyal, the responsibilities of SOG, ATS, ACB and Additional Superintendents of Police of many districts including Jaipur and Jodhpur Police Commissionerate have been changed. To see the full list Click on According to the list, while many long-awaited or leave reserve officers have been handed over field commands, the earlier transfer orders of some officers have also been cancelled.
The new postings of key officers are as follows
Changes in Jaipur-Jodhpur Commissionerate
Praveen Kumar has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Jodhpur Commissionerate from Additional Superintendent of Police Pokaran.
Virendra Singh Rathore, posted in Jodhpur, has now been made the new ASP of Pokaran (Jaisalmer).
Alok Kumar has been transferred from Anti Narcotics Task Force and given the responsibility of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Jaipur Commissionerate.
Reshuffle in SOG
Rakesh Kumar Rajoura, posted in Special Operations Group (SOG), Jaipur, has been given new posting as Additional Superintendent of Police (SOG), Jaipur.
Vijay Singh from SOG has been sent to Anti Narcotics Task Force Jaipur.
Atul Agre has been sent to Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) Jaipur and Mohesh Chaudhary has been sent to Leave Reserve (Civil Rights) Police Headquarters.
On the other hand, Rajesh Kumar and Subhash Godara have been appointed ASP in SOG Jaipur.
New additional SP in districts
Saurabh Tiwari has been posted as Additional Superintendent of Police, Baran from Bikaner Range.
Mukul Sharma has been made ASP Udaipur Rural from Chittorgarh.
Gajendra Singh Jodha has been transferred from Pratapgarh and appointed as the new ASP of Chittorgarh.
Dr. Prena Shekhawat has been removed from ACB and given the command of Additional Superintendent of Police Vair (Bharatpur).
Transfer orders of two officers canceled
At the end of the order, the Home Department has also announced the cancellation of transfers of two officers from the list released on May 7, 2026. According to this:
The transfer of Chandmal (Deputy Commandant, Fourth Battalion RAC, Jaipur) to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police (Departmental Investigation Cell, Police Headquarters) has been cancelled.
The posting of Rajesh Kumar Gupta (Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, West, Jaipur Commissionerate) to the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (East, Jaipur Commissionerate) has been canceled with immediate effect.
The Home Department has sent a copy of this order to all concerned officers including Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajasthan, and Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) with instructions to take necessary action and take charge immediately.
