Auckland, July 11 (IANS). Emphasizing the rapid economic transformation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that India has become the largest milk producing country in the world. It has also become the world’s second largest mobile manufacturer and telecom market and the world’s third largest automobile market.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The rapid development with which India is developing today amidst global challenges is unprecedented. I will present before you a bouquet of the country’s achievements. I have brought this for you. There will definitely be some flower of your choice in it, which will look beautiful to you and will also fill you with pride. India is the fastest growing major economy in the world today. India is the world’s largest vaccine producer and is among the leading countries in the world in mobile data consumption.”
He said, “Today India is the world’s second largest mobile manufacturer, the world’s largest telecom market, the second largest wheat producer, the largest milk producer, the world’s second largest fish producer and the third largest automobile market. Today India has become the world’s third largest startup ecosystem. India is very soon going to become the world’s third largest renewable energy producer. India has also joined the big countries of the world in solar energy capacity.”
PM Modi said that today’s India is giving new models of development to the world. India is successfully operating the world’s largest digital identity platform. Billions of digital transactions are happening every month through UPI in India. Today dozens of countries of the world are showing interest in India’s infrastructure. India is touching new heights in drone technology and space economy. This is a picture of the new India, which shows how India is balancing both economy and ecology like New Zealand.
Prime Minister Modi said, “It took 40 years for the Indian PM to come to New Zealand, but now you will not have to wait so long. Now it will not take 40 years. This is Modi’s guarantee. Modi’s guarantee means the guarantee will be fulfilled.”
Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also mentioned a new initiative launched to connect the children of NRIs with the culture and heritage of India. He said, “I urge all of you to connect your children with ‘Know India Quiz’. Its objective is to introduce the new generation to India’s diversity, culture and heritage, so that they can understand India better and convey its rich identity to the world.”
