Lucknow. Respected Upadhyay Shri 108 Vihsant Sagar Ji Maharaj (Sansangh) reached Ashiana Digambar Jain Temple with a grand procession while doing Mangal Padvihar from Charbagh Digambar Jain Temple on Thursday morning. On reaching the temple at around 7 in the morning, the devotees gave him a grand welcome with shouts of applause, shower of flowers and auspicious songs.
Devotees performed Aarti at various places along the entire route and a large number of women, men and young members of the Jain community participated in the padyatra, creating a religious atmosphere. After reaching the temple, the puja was completed as per the rituals and after this the procession turned into a religious gathering, in which a large number of devotees participated.
“Society flourishes through values”
Addressing the congregation, Upadhyay Shri 108 Vihsant Sagar Ji Maharaj said, “I have come not to improve crops but to improve breeds; I have come to ripen the unripe and save the ripe.” He said that the real progress of any society does not come from economic development alone, but from values, character building and spiritual awakening. If restraint, morality and moral values are developed in the new generation, then the society can automatically become strong and cultured.
Historic Chaturmas in Lucknow from 19th July
Chaturmas of the year 2026 of Upadhyay Shri 108 Vihsant Sagar Ji Maharaj will be organized in Lucknow this year. Its Chaturmas installation will be held on 19th July 2026 at CMS Auditorium, CMS Kanpur Road campus.
According to the organizers, thousands of devotees, religious lovers and members of Jain community from different states of the country will reach Lucknow on this occasion.

It was told that in the last 26 years, he has walked approximately 90,000 kilometers and propagated religion.
Famous for rigorous penance and sacrifice
Media in-charge Siddharth Jain said that Upadhyaya Shri has special recognition across the country for his restraint, penance, renunciation, meditation and fulfillment of promises. He told that with every resolution to renovate the temple, he sacrifices one thing and after the work is completed, he leaves it for the rest of his life. He has given up all types of medicines along with many other things.
