Saharanpur, July 17 (IANS). Congress MP Imran Masood, regarding Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Students’ Echo’ program, said that youth and students across the country are facing many problems today and Rahul Gandhi has understood their feelings and needs very well.
Imran Masood told IANS, “The youth and students of the country are going through difficulties. Rahul Gandhi has recognized their pulse. The ‘Chhatra Ki Goonj’ program organized in Kota, Rajasthan was a tremendous success. The program to be held in Dehradun will be ten times bigger than that. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the people about it.”
Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Students’ Echo’ program is being organized on Friday at 5 pm in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. This is the second major program of the campaign to communicate directly with students across the country. Earlier this campaign was started from Kota in Rajasthan.
At the same time, Congress MP Imran Masood also reacted to the ‘Vande Mataram’ controversy and said, “Neither the national song nor the national anthem is being insulted. As far as respect is concerned, respect can have its own standards and it can be different according to every person. People have their own beliefs.”
He said that the Supreme Court has also made it clear that showing respect does not mean only one way. Respect can also mean standing quietly or listening quietly with full respect.
Let us tell you that the Central Government is preparing to take strict action to stop the singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. The central government is planning to introduce a bill in the monsoon session of Parliament. In this bill, there can be a provision of punishment of up to three years for anyone who stops the singing of the national anthem. In the national song too, like the national anthem Jana-Gana-Mana, there is a provision of three years’ imprisonment.
