New Delhi, July 22 (IANS). The political controversy over the protests that started in Delhi regarding the NEET paper leak issue has now intensified. On one hand, the opposition is raising questions on the government regarding the future of students and the education system, while on the other hand, BJP leaders have raised objections to the way Congress is protesting. Meanwhile, BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his dharna near the Prime Minister’s residence.
Describing it as a big security violation, Kangana raised the question that when Jantar Mantar was the fixed place for the protest, then why did Rahul Gandhi want to go towards the Prime Minister’s residence.
While talking to the media, Kangana Ranaut said, “This is a breach of security. Rahul Gandhi tried his best to take the protesters towards the Prime Minister’s residence. When the protest was going on at Jantar Mantar, then why did Rahul Gandhi want to protest towards the Prime Minister’s residence? Our government is in constant talks.”
Kangana Ranaut also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s demand for resignation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kangana said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is among the most popular leaders of the world. Why would he resign?
Let us inform that on Tuesday, Congress had staged a protest near Prime Minister’s residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. Many opposition leaders including Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav participated in this demonstration.
During this, Rahul Gandhi demanded that this matter should be discussed in Parliament and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should take responsibility for this and resign. During the demonstration, slogans were also raised by Congress workers against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
When the police arrived to remove Rahul Gandhi and other leaders, Congress workers surrounded them. When the policemen arrived, Rahul Gandhi lay down on the ground, after which he was taken into custody. Other leaders including Priyanka Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav were also detained.
