If you are a woman and want to start a business, but are losing courage due to lack of money, then this scheme of the state government can help you. Rajasthan government is implementing ‘IM Shakti Udyog Protsahan Yojana’, so that women can take loans from banks to start industries based on manufacturing, service and trade.
The plan is included in ‘Key Performance Indicators’ (KPIs) and is regularly reviewed. In this, loans up to ₹ 1 crore are given to individual applicants as well as clusters or federations of self-help groups (SHGs). Ankita Rajpurohit, Assistant Director of Women Empowerment Department, said that 25% subsidy will be given on the sanctioned loan amount. The subsidy for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), widows, abandoned women, women victims of violence and persons with disabilities (PwD) will be 30% of the sanctioned loan amount.
The maximum limit of subsidy has been fixed at ₹15 lakh, while for business related loans this limit is ₹10 lakh. To apply for IM Shakti Udyog Protsahan Yojana, the applicant must be at least 18 years of age and must be a native of Rajasthan. Women self-help groups (or their clusters/federations) should be registered with the state government department; Alternatively, the cluster or federation should be registered under the Cooperative Societies Act as per the rules.
**How to get loan**
The Assistant Director said that the institutions giving loans under this scheme include nationalized commercial banks, private sector scheduled commercial banks authorized by RBI, scheduled small finance banks, regional rural banks, Rajasthan Financial Corporation (RFC) and SIDBI. Applicants can apply online using their SSO ID. If needed, help of e-Mitra or other similar services can be taken. After verification by the department, the application will be sent to the concerned bank for further action.
