what’s in the story
Silicon Valley…city of dreams. That city of America, where everyone has to try their luck. In this same valley, an Indian boy formed his own company, earned crores, became a ‘self-made dollar millionaire’. But who knew that heaps of money would not be able to save the happiness of his life?
This story which is going viral on social media has been shared by entrepreneur Vineeth K on X. He wrote, “A college friend of mine built a company in Silicon Valley, earned a lot of money, but two years ago his life fell apart like a house of cards.”
Vineeth described it as ‘one of the saddest stories he has ever heard’. Hindustan has not independently verified this claim.
Fight between wife and in-laws
It was further told in the story that this man’s wife was also his college friend. But there was such a rift in the relationship that the fights reached the in-laws’ house. There was a dispute with wife, father-in-law and brother-in-law.
Domestic dispute reached court
This quarrel took the form of a court case. Cases started. Depression set in and the biggest pain came when she was not even allowed to meet her child. “She was not allowed to meet her child,” Vineeth wrote.
Lives in village, has ₹100 crore in bank
Defeated, the man decided to leave America and returned to India. According to Vineet, today he has more than ₹ 100 crore in his bank, but he lives in a small village.
Vineet has written, “Today he has ₹ 100+ crores, but he lives in a small village. He spends time in the service of God and makes videos on healing and survival… These videos are not very deep, the struggle is clearly heard in his voice.”
Peace of mind can’t be bought with money
Learning from this experience, Vineeth wrote that this is not the only story he has heard. He says, “No amount of money can compensate for the lack of mental peace. Protect your mind as much as you protect your wealth.” This post went viral and people started openly discussing mental health, work-life balance and real happiness.
