The Indian stock markets saw a huge decline on 26 September. The Sensex closed down nearly 733 points. At the same time, the Nifty also fell to close at 24,650. This is the sixth consecutive day when both Sensex and Nifty closed with a decline. This is the longest decline of the stock market in the last 7 months. The biggest reason for this decline was Trump’s new tariff announcement. Trump has announced a 100 % tariff on branded and patented medicines from 1 October. Apart from this, the weak results of the American tech company Exchanger and the ongoing selling of foreign investors also weakened the trend of investors.

At the end of the trading, the Sensex fell 733.22 points or 0.90 per cent to close at 80,426.46. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 24,654.70 with a decline of 236.15 points or 0.95 per cent. The broad market saw a bigger decline. BSE midcap and smallcap indices declined by about 2 percent. Due to this, investors lost about 6.5 lakh crore rupees today.

All major regional index of Nifty also closed in red mark. The biggest decline was seen in shares of IT, pharma and consumer durables companies. The Nifty IT index closed down by about 2.5 percent. The index has continued to decline continuously for the last 6 days. The Nifty Pharma and the consumer durables indices also saw a decline of more than 2 percent.

Investors lost ₹ 6.65 lakh crore

The total market capitalization of companies listed in BSE declined to Rs 450.75 lakh crore on 26 September, which was Rs 457.35 lakh crore on its previous trading day, Thursday, 25 September. In this way, the market capitalization of companies listed in BSE has reduced by about 6.65 lakh crore rupees today. In other words, investors’ assets have declined by about Rs 6.65 lakh crore.

These 5 shares of Sensex decline the most

25 out of 30 shares of BSE Sensex closed in red mark today. In this too, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) fell to 3.62 per cent to the biggest loss. At the same time, Tata Steel, Eternal, Bajaj Finance and Asian Paint fell from 2.62 per cent to 2.84 per cent.

These 5 shares of Sensex rise

At the same time, the remaining 5 shares of the Sensex were closed in the green mark today. It had the highest growth of 2.77 percent among the shares of Larsen and Toubro (L&T). Apart from this, shares of Tata Motors, ITC, Reliance Industries (RIL) and Maruti Suzuki closed down 0.18 and 1.47 per cent respectively.

3,064 shares decline

Several shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today closed down with a decline. Today, a total of 4,280 shares were traded on the exchange. Of these, 1,073 shares closed with an increase. At the same time, 3,064 shares saw a decline. While 143 shares were closed flat without any fluctuations. Apart from this, 132 shares touched the highest level of their new 52-week during today’s business. At the same time, 154 shares touched the lowest level of its new 52-week.
