New Delhi, 29 September (IANS). The problem of stomach gas has become common in today’s run -of -the -mill life, but the more normal the problem seems to be, the more inconvenient and disturbing. Most people take it lightly, while it is a sign of digestive system disturbances and deteriorating lifestyle.
When the food is not digested properly, the process of fermentation in the intestines begins, causing gases such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen and methane. The result is that heaviness, swelling, belching, blotting and sometimes up to abdominal pain.
The main causes of gas formation include irregular and wrong eating, such as excessive intake of oily, spicy and fast food. In addition, quick food, swallowing without chewing and stress also promotes gas.
According to Ayurveda, weak gastritis, ie the weakness of digestive fire, is the root cause of gas. Waking up late at night, not eating on time and excessive intake of pulses or carbonated drinks can also be the cause.
However, there are many home remedies available for stomach gas, such as taking a pinch of celery and black salt with lukewarm water provides immediate relief. Chewing ginger tea or ginger with salt strengthens digestion. After meals, chewing fennel or drinking its water prevents gas from forming and also removes the smell of breath. Use of asafoetida is also effective. Dissolving it in lukewarm water and applying it on the stomach or drinking it removes gas. Measures like lemonade and Triphala powder are also very effective.
Along with this, it is very important to improve lifestyle. Eating on time, chewing slowly, avoiding lying immediately after eating, and adopting regular walks and yogasana such as Pawanmuktasana and Vajrasana can eliminate the gas problem from the root. It is also very important to have a gap between food. In addition, meditation and pranayama relieve mental stress, which also improves digestion.
