New Delhi. The two shooters who took the betel nut to kill the standup comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Farooqui have been arrested by the Delhi Police after the Half encounter. Both miscreants have been identified as Rahul and Sahil. Rahul is a resident of Panipat and Sahil Bhiwani in Haryana. Rohit Godara, a gangster hiding abroad, had tasked both of them to assassinate Munawar Farooqui. Rohit Godara was plotting to assassinate Farooqui in association with Goldie Brar and Virendra Charan. The police have recovered weapons near both the miscreants and also seized their motorcycles.
The Delhi Police’s counter-intelligence team had received information that the crooks accused of triple murder in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana are roaming around the New Friends Colony in Delhi. The police planned to catch them. He faced the police on Pushta Road in Kalindi Kunj area. This incident is around 3.00 pm. Seeing two people riding the bike, the police indicated to stop, but the bike riding miscreants opened fire on the police team. After this, the police also fired back and shot them in the legs of both the miscreants. After this, the police took both the miscreants to the hospital for treatment.
During interrogation, both the accused confessed that they are wanted to Yamuna Nagar Triple Murder. He also revealed that he was planning to kill Munawar Farooqui, for which he got instructions from gangster Rohit Godara. Earlier in 2024, Delhi Police also got an input of planning for Munawar Farooqui murder. Munawar Farooqui is also the target of Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
