If seen from religious point of view, the Ekadashi falling in the month of Laund is called Param Ekadashi. This particular month is also known as Adhik Maas, Malmaas and Purushottam Maas in the Hindu calendar. Due to the Krishna Paksha of Adhik Maas, it has got special recognition as Param Ekadashi or Adhik Maas Ekadashi.
This is the reason why no specific lunar month is fixed for this fast. Whenever there is a combination of Adhik Maas in the Hindu year, only then this holy fast is observed. According to the scriptures, by worshiping Shri Hari in Purushottam month, the person gets many times more auspicious results than on normal days. This fast gives a perfect indication of bringing spiritual purification and balance in life.
Today’s Remedy: Worship Lord Vishnu today, offer him yellow flowers and Tulsi leaves. Reciting Vishnu Sahasranama is very beneficial.
