In astrology, love affair is directly governed by two houses, 5th and 7th. The 5th house shows attraction, romantic feelings, proposal, first meeting and heartbeats, while the 7th house shows commitment, partner stability and long-term companionship. When there is pressure of inauspicious planets on the 5th house or its lord, then love starts but does not last till marriage and breakup happens in between.
The 7th house and its lord indicate depth of relationship, trust, ability to compromise and possibility of marriage. If the 7th house, its lord or Venus/Moon are under inauspicious influence, then either the right partner is not found, or even together, the relationship is not stable.
