Compassion is a tender feeling of the human heart. It is the creator of humanity and the main factor of co-life. The feeling of compassion connects a person to the conscience of the suffering creature. Compassion is a precious asset of the human heart. It is the nectar of supreme thought and soul. When this disappears from the human heart, the human mind turns into a mere stone. Seeing a suffering creature, there is a stir in the heart, there is a vibration, there is a vibration in the mind, this is the awakening of compassion. A person inspired by compassion experiences spiritual joy by freeing the suffering person from suffering. An incident from the life of America’s Father of the Nation Abraham Lincoln will make this fact more clear.
Once when he was going somewhere with friends, he heard a piglet crying pitifully in the drain of the gutter. They immediately went down into the gutter and brought out the piglet. The clothes were all ruined. Friends asked what have you done, you have soiled all the clothes. Lincoln said that these will be washed away soon. If I had left this piglet in pain, I would not have been able to sleep peacefully the whole night. By saving this, I have saved my peace. Now I will be able to sleep comfortably.
It is clear from the above example that a person motivated by compassion does the service not to do favor to anyone, but for his own spiritual happiness. Pandu’s wife Raj Mata Kunti Devi even sent her son to fight the demon Bak, the incarnation of death, to save the child of a Brahmin. Ideals like Megrath and Shivi are priceless ideals of our history. Saving a pigeon even by sacrificing one’s body had become his ultimate religion.
Compassion is a strong foundation of co-living. Family and society prove to be ideal and superior only when each person in them is inspired by mutual compassion. The highest ideal of service is realized only through compassion. Today the source of compassion is drying up in the mentality of people’s lives. As a result, humans have started exhibiting demon-like tendencies. Murders, looting and atrocities are increasing in the country. Everyone is worried, but the solution is compassion. We are traditionally associated with many faiths and beliefs. Our culture and our religion are that dimensional. We have remained faithful to the best practices and principles of all religions. It is our mental commitment to remain united with respect for each other. Generosity is the main element of our thoughts. Syadism i.e. Anekantism is the underlying element of beliefs of all our tendencies, we can never lose it. Losing it would mean ending your very existence. Some cultures which have not grown in the soil of India are extremely intolerant and indulgent. They are committed to making humans sensualists to the level of animalistic. There is no definite basis for belief in any specific elements. Those cultures are working to damage the great ascetic culture of India. In such a situation, the educated class of the country will have to think deeply that how can we stop the erosion of this great culture?
The strength of faith and belief is the power that can save the originality of the nation and culture, we should strive in this direction with determination.
Our religions are the lifeblood of our culture, religious rituals and practices are our best values and inspiration. We can save our culture only by keeping them intact.
All religious sects of India should live together with mutual respect and cooperation. There is no enemy of any religion or sect.
The enemy of all religious sects is unrighteousness. Everyone should fight together against unrighteousness. Just think that if there is no religious faith then how will any religious sect survive?
All religious sects flourish in the courtyard of faith. Therefore, everyone should make efforts to ensure that public faith does not turn into disbelief.
Atheism itself is an anti-religious force and efforts should be made to eliminate it. Why should religious sects try to cancel each other out? Interpersonal conflicts prepare the stage for atheism.
