Lucknow, Amrit Views: On the fourth day of Sharadiya Navratri, a huge crowd of devotees thronged the major temples of the capital. On this day, special prayers are offered to Maa Durga, the fourth form of Maa Durga. Long queues of devotees were seen since morning in other major Devi temples including Badi Kali Ji Temple, Kalibari Temple, Sandohan Temple, Mari Mata Temple, Bhuiyan Devi Temple and Durga Temple in the city. With the Mangal Aarti, the atmosphere of the temples was filled with Bhaktiras. Till late night, the devotees stayed in temples to see the mother.
Devotees believe that all the obstacles of life are removed by the mere sight of mother Kushmanda and there is a habit of happiness, peace and prosperity in the house. Many devotees said that they came to the temple and realized inner peace and positive energy. However, according to the date of Navratri, mother Chandraghanta was worshiped in many houses on Thursday due to the day of Maa Chandraghanta. Despite this, there was no shortage in the faith of the devotees and they worshiped mother Kushmanda with full devotion. The temple management had made special arrangements to keep the philosophy system smooth. Police forces were also deployed in terms of security, so that the devotees do not have any kind of inconvenience.
Mother Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri
In the nine -day Mahaparva of Navratri, worship of the Kushmanda form of Maa Durga has special significance on the fourth day. This time, due to the worship of mother Chandraghanta for two days, Kushmanda Devi will be worshiped on Friday. This form of Kushmanda Maa has been called the Adi Shakti of the universe and the creator of the universe. The word Kushmand means the power that arises the universe from Kumhad (Kushmand). This is the reason why mother Kushmanda is considered to be the form of Adishakti.
Acharya SS Nagpal said that according to religious beliefs, when there was no creation, there was darkness all around, then mother Kushmanda composed the universe with her slow smile. It is said that their worship brings age, fame, force and health and all types of diseases and mental-physical sufferings are eliminated.
Mother Kushmanda is the goddess of Ashtabhuja. They have a chanting of kamandal, bow, arrow, lotus flower, amrit kalash, chakra, mace and siddhis in their hands. By chanting the seed mantras 108 times on this day of Navratri, the seeker gets special fruit.
