Lucknow, Amrit Vichar. On this Diwali, “Divya Diwali Fair-2025” will be organized on 16-17 October in all the divisions of Uttar Pradesh, in which grand exhibitions of products manufactured by disabled people will be organised. This initiative of the state government will not only realize the mantra of “Vocal for Local” and “Self-reliant India” but will also provide a new platform for economic empowerment and social respect to the disabled.
From earthen lamps to artificial jewelery and food items, the skills of the Divyangjan in these exhibitions will double the charm of the Deepotsav. Yogi government is not only paying attention to the economic development of the disabled people, but also gives priority to social inclusivity. This Diwali, when lamps are lit in every house, the light of the skills of the disabled will give a new direction to the entire state.
Organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, this fair will showcase handmade earthen lamps, attractive candles, artificial jewellery, handloom products, home decorative items, puja items, pickles, murabbas, spices and other food items. These products have been developed in collaboration with various Divyang training centres, self-help groups and NGOs.
Preparations for the fair completed in many districts
The state government has given instructions to identify suitable places for exhibitions in all divisional headquarters and for wide publicity. Preparations for the fair have been completed in divisions like Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Meerut. Fairs are also being organized in Basti, Aligarh, Varanasi, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Bareilly etc. Instructions have been given to the local administration that more and more people should participate in these exhibitions and adopt indigenous products.
The government has taken unprecedented steps to make the disabled people self-reliant. Women of Lakhimpur became part of eco-friendly Deepotsav
This time, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Deepotsav of Ayodhya is becoming a symbol of grandeur, self-reliance and public participation. 25 thousand eco-friendly lamps prepared by the rural women of Lakhimpur Kheri will now spread light on the holy land of Ayodhyadham. These lamps are made from the local soil and cow dung, which also contain the natural fragrance of herbs.
Block Development Officer of Dhaurahra Block Sandeep Kumar Tiwari handed over these lamps to Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi in the Municipal Corporation office. On this occasion, the Mayor expressed gratitude to Lakhimpur District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and Chief Development Officer Abhishek Kumar.
