According to the Panchang, the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month will start on 14 September 2025 at 05:04 am and end on September 15 at 03:06 am. According to Uday Date, it will be best to do Kalashtami fast and worship on 14 September.
Three rare yoga are being made on Kalashtami.
Siddhi Yoga: It is considered to be success and accomplishment in yoga work. All religious works and rituals performed in this yoga are successful.
Ravi Yoga: This yoga related to Sun God is very effective. The worship and remedies performed in this yoga gives the person freedom from diseases and conquer enemies.
Shivwas Yoga: This yoga is formed when Lord Shiva resides with Goddess Parvati. The worship and consecration performed in this yoga reaches directly to Shiva, which brings their grace and all the sorrows of the devotees are removed.
This day of Kalashtami becomes very important due to these three yogas being together. The worship performed on this day not only pleases Lord Kaal Bhairav, but also receives the grace of Lord Shiva and Surya Dev.
Kalashtami Puja Vidhi and Mantra
Along with keeping a fast on Kalashtami, special worship of Lord Kaal Bhairav should be done. Wake up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. Install the idol or picture of Lord Kaal Bhairav. Anoint them with Ganga water and light a mustard oil lamp. Chant “Om Kalabhairavay Namah” 108 times. Offer them black sesame, urad dal, jaggery and roti. After worship, recite Kaal Bhairav Chalisa and Bhairav Ashtak. In the evening, feed the dogs, as they are considered the vehicle of Lord Bhairav.
