Prayagraj. This time, 3D mapping and drones will be used to organize the largest Magh Mela of faith in 2026, to be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. With this technology the entire fair area will be divided into seven sectors.
Settlement planning will be done by mapping the land, which will be faster and more accurate than previous methods. Preparations for Magh Mela, which will start from January 3, 2026, have now started gaining momentum because this time due to shortage of time, the work is being done at a fast pace.
This time the fair area will be divided into seven sectors on the basis of drone mapping. This method will prove to be faster and more accurate than physical measurement. This will reduce time from sector division to determination of major routes and gata routes.
This time, preparations have been made to increase the area of the fair from 770 hectares to approximately 1000 hectares. The help of 3D mapping is being taken only to organize the fair in larger area in less time. Deputy Fair Officer Vivek Shukla said that the leveling work has been started.
Pipa has been ordered to build pontoon culverts on Kali Marg and Old GT Marg. It is believed that the land will dry up further in a week, after which the leveling work will be done rapidly. The tender process of various departments has also been completed.
Six pontoons were made in the last Magh Mela. The authority has considered it necessary to build a pontoon on the Ganga near the Phaphamau bridge, which will ease the traffic system.
