The festival of Mahashivratri, which falls in the month of Phalgun, will be celebrated on 15 February this year. This day is very dear to the devotees of Lord Shiva. On this day, devotees of Mahadev observe fast and worship Shivalinga with rituals. They perform Jalabhishek of Shivalinga and offer Belpatra, Bhang, Dhatura and Rudraksha. According to the Hindu calendar, Shani Dev is currently in Pisces. Thus, the third phase of Saturn’s Sade Sati is going on in Aquarius, the second phase in Pisces and the first phase in Aries. If people of these zodiac signs want to get relief from the effects of Dhaiya or Sade Sati, then they must do some divine remedies on the upcoming Mahashivratri.
1. On Mahashivratri, anoint Shivalinga with water, milk, curd, honey and ghee. After this, people who are undergoing Dhaiya or Sade Sati should anoint Shivalinga with water mixed with black sesame seeds. Shani Dosh is pacified by this remedy.

4. Reciting Shri Rudrashtakam on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri can also reduce the effect of Sade Sati or Dhaiya. After chanting this mantra, pray to Lord Shiva for happiness and peace in life.
